The hotel is very quiet and quite dated. Probably when I stayed was not a busy season. All in all clean and well kept. The view from my room was gorgeous. The room was cozy and traditional. The fridge though was not working or maybe there was some switch but I didn’t use it anyway. I first thought that toilet and bath are shared but it isn’t. They’re even inside the room. The bath was obviously not usually used since rust marks are visible. The gender assignment for inside onsen indeed changed overnight so you have to ensure you enter the correct one. The outside onsen is so relaxing with the full sense of nature and outdoors but safe (since you’re all naked). The path to the outside onsen though is quite long and lonely if you’re just alone. :-D The breakfast was plenty, fresh and delicious. Aaah I love traditional Japanese food and it was superb. Going to the hotel for me was quite difficult. I had to take a taxi since I couldn’t walk by myself to that secluded part. The tunnel going to it gives Spirited Away feels. ^_^

The hotel is about 20 min walk from the train station but they have a free shuttle which made it perfectly convenient. It was absolutely worth being slightly further away as the hotel is located on a small cove which feels like you have private access to the sea and gives beautiful views from the rooms! There is an indoor and outdoor onsen (natural hot spring baths) both with lovely views and a comfortable temperature, with complimentary amenities. We had breakfast and one dinner at the hotel and everything was delicious, generous portions with attention given to seasonal and local produce. They were also able to cater to our dietary requirements (pescatarian and scallop allergy) well. At one point one of our party suffered a burn (NOT the hotel’s fault) and the staff were so helpful in providing us what we needed and were very kind.

Had such a wonderful relaxing stay after a rather stressful time in Kyoto after losing my phone! The traditional Japanese room I stayed in was absolutely gorgeous with stunning views of the ocean. Loved having all day and evening access to the onsen. Staff were very nice and helpful, assisting me with cancelling hotel bookings due to problems travelling after losing my phone.

I had a great time in Nagisaya Hotel. The room is in traditionnel japanese style (tatami and futon on floor) and had a wonderful view on the sea. The hotel offers interior and exterior onsen where I had my best time with the view on the moutain and a little on the sea (only men onsen has total view on the sea, women are on the other side). The staff is really friendly.

The view from our room was lovely and there was a feeling of old style elegance. The staff were polite and went out of their way to help when we left a pair of sunglasses in town - they immediately went to fetch them for us saving a hot walk. Very good service. The outside onsen was also good to have and we enjoyed a small walk along the rocks.
